• Before your kids take a bath, tests the temperature water with your hand.

• Do not place an electric thing near your bath such a radio, a compact disk player, or a cassette tape player. It can be dangerous if the children play it and the cable near the water. Even an application that is not turned on, such as a hairdryer, can be potentially dangerous if it is left plugged in. If it falls into water in a sink or bathtub while plugged in, it could cause a lethal shock.

• Give the kids a drawer or cabinet for the storage of their own towels and toys so that it can be left unlocked for them to play with at bath time. This also discourages them from accessing your cabinet that could contain medicines etc.
